Sovereign Energy (SE) is proud to host the New Mexico Tribal Solar Economic Forum (October 14 – 15, 2021) which will highlight the current opportunity for Tribal-led projects following the passage of the Community Solar Act. SE along with the Native American Voter’s Alliance (NAVA) Education Project will convene Tribal leadership at this two-day event. Financial support is provided by NAVA and Affordable Solar.
The conference will allow Tribes to learn about successful Tribal models of community solar development and discuss how community solar projects could benefit Tribal communities. A primary focus of the forum is to inform Tribes about federal and other financial resources and pathways Tribes & Pueblos can utilize for community solar development. The Forum will help Tribes understand the steps and processes in developing their own community solar projects.
